Before any property in Lexington Oaks was sold, the developer (Pulte) formed a Homeowners' Association(HOA) to govern it. Consequently, each purchaser of property in the development automatically becomes a member of the Association and must abide by the governing documents.
The Association was legally created by filing Articles of Incorporation as a nonprofit organization with the Division of Corporations administered by the Florida Secretary of State.
The Articles of Incorporation are brief and contain only the basic information about the Association, its name, location, and its purpose, but give the HOA legal standing.
