Master HOA Amendment Results

2020 AMENDMENT VOTING
Votes for the three proposed amendments to the Restated and Consolidated Master Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions of Lexington Oaks were tallied at the Annual Meeting held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 and the results are as follows:
 
Amendment 1DID NOT PASS – To allow for Common Expenses to include social events, charitable contributions, contributions to the security patrol, etc.
 
Amendment 2PASSED – No Lot may be leased during the first twelve (12) months of ownership following transfer of a Lot.
 
Amendment 3PASSED – No Lot shall be leased for a term of less than seven (7) months and one (1) day.  This will prevent Airbnb’s from doing business in Lexington Oaks.  However, the state of Florida is trying to pass laws that will prevent communities like ours from restricting Airbnb’s.  If you are so inclined, you may contact FL Senator Tom Lee at Lee.Tom.web@flsenate.gov, (813) 653-7061 in Brandon, or (850) 487-5020 in Tallahassee to voice your concerns.

The Master Homeowners Association Board conducts a meeting every 2nd Wednesday of the month. Owners are encouraged to attend. Owner comments are part of each agenda.
